Compact controller for industrial applications
RAPA - Solenoid valve expertise since 1966
A solenoid valve is an electrically controlled valve that regulates the flow of steam, liquids or gases. At its core, it consists of a coil (solenoid) that generates a magnetic field when switched on and thus moves a piston or diaphragm - this opens or closes the flow. The switching of a solenoid valve is caused by the movement of the armature. If the armature is mechanically coupled directly to the sealing element (disc, seal or diaphragm), it is a directly controlled valve.
This principle can be implemented in various valve variants using our modular system, e.g. as a 2/2-way valve (NC = normally open / normally closed, NO = normally closed / normally open) or as a 3/2-way valve (also NC or NO).
In industrial applications, solenoid valves are used wherever liquid or gaseous media need to be controlled reliably, quickly and with repeat accuracy.
Typical areas of application include components in compressors, measurement and control technology, vacuum and compressed air systems, heating and sanitary technology as well as in food and beverage processing systems.
They are particularly frequently installed in technology-independent heating systems, industrial ovens, automated vehicle washing systems (cars/trucks) and commercial dishwashers, for example. Their compact design allows installation even in confined spaces and is therefore particularly suitable for integrated system solutions in demanding environments.
